This mineral should be kept before the animals when the grasses are lush and growing rapidly. Optimum intake is 2-4 oz. per head per daily. Maximum intake is 4.8 oz. (0.3 lb) per head daily. Each ounce provides 2.8 g. magnesium.
Feed cattle AGL 6 MAG MINERAL 1 to 2 weeks before cattle are place on pasture. To help assure adequate mineral comsumption, palce the mineral feeder near the water supply or at the animals' loafing area. Remove all other free-choice salt and mineral products. Put out fresh mineral at least once each week. An upright covered mineral feeder is best to use for proctection of the mineral from weather.
